Green Football Weekend unleashes the power of football to tackle climate change and bring together fans, clubs, leagues, broadcasters and partners to take action on climate.

Green Football Weekend was born from Planet League and Count Us In’s successful CUP26 tournament which ran in the run up to COP26 in Glasgow.

For the past two seasons Green Football Weekend has run a dedicated campaign during the football season that has brought clubs, leagues and importantly fans together to raise awareness and get people taking climate action.

Planet League has run the fan ‘Cup’ tournaments, bringing together over 100 clubs and their fans to take climate action. Our Layer Up challenge and schools networks alongside building a bespoke campaign for Sky Sports’ pundits to participate have been part of our contributions to the campaign.
